Established in 1984, Whitaker Glen is devoted to creating a Continuing Care Retirement Community to provide residents with a place to retire. The community is a beautiful location with gentle rolling hills covered by beautiful oak trees, and with a four story high, sky-lit, climate-controlled atrium as its focal point.

In 1957, Travis Tomlinson Sr. opened the doors to Mayview Convalescent Center. This provided the beginning of the campus and allowed Travis and Parker Tomlinson to develop Whitaker Glen. Since its inception, the staff on campus has been dedicated to providing excellent living accommodations while giving quality customer service. The Tomlinson family’s goal was to provide the best retirement community in the Raleigh, NC area. They achieved this goal with Whitaker Glen, a community that offers you a worry-free atmosphere you can call home.
