Our nurse care managers are highly trained and qualified licensed professionals who communicate directly with the patient, the physician, and the payor on a regular basis and provide written updates on the patient's progress as requested.

The professionals within UniHealth Select act as care managers for private resources and payment plans such as commercial insurance, Medicare “replacements” and self payment.
These nurse care managers continually assess, evaluate and advocate for patients as they move through the full spectrum of UHS-Pruitt services. Nurse care managers are highly trained and qualified professionals who provide direct and written communication with patients, physicians and payers.
Our focus covers three areas: maximizing quality, monitoring utilization and ensuring positive outcomes for every patient. Our ultimate goal is to shorten recovery time in an acute-care environment, allowing patients to recuperate in a home-like setting.
