Position Summary:

The Regional Financial Manager is responsible for managing the general accounting functions of a team including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accounting and trust fund processes. They will also be expected to keep the days sales outstanding at established goal , maintain peak cash velocity and produce accurate financial statements in a timely manner. Extensive experience and judgment will be required to plan and accomplish goals. The Regional Financial Manager is expected to demonstrate through plans and actions, that there is a standard of consistency and excellence that the team is expected to achieve while providing both knowledge and support to the team in order to help them reach their goals. While the major focus will be on financial performance and accounting, the Regional Financial Manager will develop and maintain a strong working relationship with the Assistant Vice President for the Region and Administrators whose healthcare centers are served by the team. This position reports to the Director of Financial Management.

Qualification Standards, Education, and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • MBA or CPA preferred
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • 2 - 4 years of supervisory experience required
  • Billing and collections experience a plus
  • Freedom from illegal use of drugs, and freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
  • Persons who have been found guilty by a court of law of abusing, neglecting or mistreating individuals in a health care related setting are ineligible for employment in this position.
  • Satisfactory results of a criminal history check, Office of the Inspector General Sanction Check, and satisfactory licensure validations (as applicable).

Certificates and Licenses Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • MBA Preferred but not required
  • CPA certificate preferred but not required
